What is picking control?
Picking control is a verification step carried out during packing. It is used to check that the product(s) placed in your parcels are the right ones.
Picking control requires :
- For single-order or single-product picking sessions: a handheld shower (a PDA can also be used).
- For multi-order or multi-product preparation sessions: a fixed or mobile apiary.
What is the purpose of picking control?
The picking control function is performed in several stages:
1- After picking up my products, I scan them one by one.
After being scanned, each product in the parcel is checked in real time in Shippingbo using a color code: red, orange and green. Red, when a product has not yet been checked; orange, when a product has begun to be checked, but is present in several quantities; and green, when all quantities have been checked.
2. Compatible with all preparation methods.
Picking control works equally well for single-order picking sessions (an order containing a single parcel) and multi-order picking sessions (an order containing several parcels). It is also compatible with single-product and multi-product picking sessions. As mentioned above, however, the equipment required to carry out the check will differ according to the picking mode used.
3. If some products have serial numbers, I scan them to fill them in without Shippingbo.
If one of your products has a serial number, you can also flash it and enter it into Shippingbo. In this way, you can trace your product at any time and better manage parcel returns.
4. If I have previously entered the weight of my products in my product catalog, Shippingbo will calculate the total weight of your package for you.
Shippingbo retrieves the weight of each item you have previously entered in your product catalog to automatically calculate the total weight of a package.
5. Automatic generation of shipping labels
Once your products have been checked and your package is complete, a shipping label is automatically generated from Shippingbo.
