Connection steps: Connect UPS to Shippingbo in just a few steps
-
1.Prepare your UPS information
Gather your UPS account number, services used, pick-up point service if required, and your specific needs: international, tracking, signature or dangerous goods.
-
2.Add UPS in Shippingbo
From Connectors > Carriers, add UPS then launch the action to link your account.
-
3.Configure your services and options
Enter your account number, then create the service or services to use. Next enable the required options according to your needs: pick-up point, paperless, notifications, delivery confirmation or dangerous goods settings.
-
4.Test a flow before go-live
Validate a simple use case, then a more specific one if necessary: pick-up point, international or multi-parcel.
The limitations of UPS without Shippingbo
Without Shippingbo
- UPS labels: Fragmented generation, manual rework, back-and-forth between tools
- Choose the right service: Case-by-case selection, risk of mismatch between home delivery and pick-up point
- Multi-parcel: Manual processing, risk of confusion during picking
- Tracking and customer service: Limited tracking visibility, inconsistent retrieval depending on use
- International: Customs documents and rules managed outside the flow
- Delivery options: Signature, notifications, exceptions handled case by case
With Shippingbo
- Your teams generate UPS labels within a more structured flow, with less handling and less day-to-day rework.
- Assign the right service more simply according to your shipping rules, keeping the process clearer.
- Process your multi-parcel shipments within the same operational framework, for greater confidence during picking.
- Provide greater visibility after shipping and help customer service handle enquiries more cleanly.
- Integrate customs topics into the shipping process to structure international flows more effectively.
- Enable the required options within a clearer framework, without rebuilding the flow for every specific case.
Advanced use cases: More specific UPS flows to structure from the outset
As soon as there are several services, contractual constraints or specific flows, the right approach is to validate the scope before go-live.
Using several UPS services
You do not ship everything with a single UPS service. Depending on orders, destinations or your delivery promises, you need to use several distinct services. Shippingbo lets you create one configuration per UPS service. This keeps a clear framework across your different use cases instead of forcing everything into a single configuration.
Home delivery and pick-up point
You need to manage both a home-delivery service and a UPS Access Point™ pick-up point service, with separate settings for each delivery method. In Shippingbo, the main service and pick-up point service are configured separately. This lets you structure shipments more cleanly according to the expected delivery method.
International shipments
Your UPS flows do not stop at France. You need to manage international shipments with customs documents, Incoterm and the appropriate declaration. Shippingbo lets you enable paperless customs documents in the service configuration. The required information is sent to UPS, which generates the customs documents. The Incoterm and customs declaration are configured according to your organisation.
Dangerous goods
Certain products require a specific indication on the UPS shipping label. Shippingbo lets you use a dedicated product field to carry this information, then display it on the label through the carrier configuration. This avoids handling the requirement manually when shipping.

FAQ - Frequently asked questions
We use our own UPS contract. Can we connect it to Shippingbo?
Yes. Shippingbo lets you link your UPS account and enter your account number in the carrier configuration. This allows you to keep your existing UPS contract and commercial framework.
Which UPS services can be configured in Shippingbo?
The scope confirmed in your inputs includes: Access Point Economy, Expedited, Express, Express Saver, Standard, Worldwide Express Plus, Worldwide Saver and Worldwide Economy DDU. If you use several services, Shippingbo lets you create one configuration per service to keep the flow clear.
Does the connector support UPS Access Point™?
Yes. The pick-up point service can be configured separately from the main service in Shippingbo. This lets you structure home-delivery and pick-up point shipments separately, according to your organisation.
How do you manage UPS customs documents for international shipments?
Shippingbo lets you enable paperless customs documents in the configuration of the relevant service. Information is sent to UPS, which generates the customs documents. The Incoterm and customs declaration are set according to your configuration.
Is post-shipment UPS tracking supported?
Yes. Post-shipment tracking can be enabled. According to your inputs, subscribing to the option is sufficient and does not require any additional specific configuration in Shippingbo.
