Can I activate the Crossdock zone only on certain products?
Yes. The Crossdock zone is fully configurable. You can activate it only for products or suppliers concerned by direct shipment on receipt. This allows you to fine-tune your logistics according to the flows involved.
Is it compatible with all preparation methods?
Crossdock functionality is designed to complement conventional preparation methods. It activates a specific session, separate from standard preparations, to ensure maximum fluidity in the processing of incoming products.
Do I need a PDA or special equipment?
No, Crossdock functionality is compatible with the tools you already use for receiving and picking, including Shippingbo PDAs. The key is to be able to scan products on arrival to automatically launch the transport label.
Can it be used for pre-ordering?
Absolutely. Crossdock is particularly useful for pre-ordered products. As soon as they are received in the warehouse, they are associated with orders already booked, and then immediately dispatched.
Does this work for multi-piece shipments?
Yes, it’s possible. The Crossdock is ideal for single-product orders, but can also be used for multi-product orders:
1. You receive the delivery in a dedicated Crossdock area.
2. You launch a Pick & Print session to dispatch all single-product orders immediately.
3. You can then launch a conventional picking session from this same area to process multi-product orders, without having to put away stock items.
