Advantages of the Geodis x Shippingbo module
This connector turns your logistics into a profit center. By applying customized shipping rules, you automatically assign the right Geodis service to each order, whether it’s a small parcel or a pallet. You reduce errors, control costs and benefit from a 360° view of your operations from a single e-commerce OMS.
5 key benefits of integration
Unified B2B & B2C management
Ship your e-commerce parcels as well as your professional pallets via the appropriate Geodis services (courier, express) from a single interface.
Automated shipping documents
Generate your parcel labels and consignment notes (CMR) for your freight shipments en masse, in just one click.
Intelligent service assignment
Set up rules to automatically choose between different Geodis offers (France Express, Calberson, On-Demand) according to weight, destination and required service level.
Simplified pick-up booking
Plan and automate pick-up requests for your shipments, directly from the platform, without going through the Geodis portal.
Complete flow traceability
Track the progress of all your shipments (parcels and freight) in real time, and keep your customers (B2C) or partners (B2B) informed of delivery status.
Logistics challenges without an integrated Geodis module
- Double entry between B2B and B2C platforms
Managing e-commerce orders on one Geodis portal and pallet shipments on another is a monumental waste of time. This constant juggling between systems increases the risk of error, makes tracking more complex, and prevents you from having a consolidated view of your flows and transport costs.
- Manual generation of transport documents
Beyond simple labels, freight transport requires specific documents such as consignment notes (CMRs). Filling out these documents manually for each shipment is a tedious, repetitive task with a high risk of error, which can lead to pick-up delays or delivery problems.Automated printing of transport labels and CMRs is essential.
- Lack of responsiveness in booking pick-ups
Having to manually log on to a portal to book each pallet pickup or parcel pickup delays the shipping process. This can cause you to miss the end-of-day cut-off, delay your shipment by a day, and jeopardize the delivery promise made to your customer.
- An approximate and costly selection of Geodis services
Choosing manually between different Geodis entities and services (express, courier, charter) for each shipment is complex. Without an automated logic, teams often choose by habit rather than by optimization, which can lead to significant cost overruns and a level of service that doesn’t match the customer’s real needs.
FAQ - Frequently asked questions
We use Geodis for our B2B pallets and another carrier for our B2C parcels. Can your module handle this?
Yes, that’s one of the main strengths of our platform. It’s multi-carrier by nature. You can connect your Geodis module for freight and your other modules (Colissimo, Chronopost, etc.) for courier services. Thanks to our shipping rules, the system will automatically select the right carrier and the right service for each order, according to its weight, dimensions or recipient – all transparently.
Can the module print consignment notes (CMR) in addition to parcel labels?
Absolutely. Our integration with Geodis is deep and supports different types of flow. The system knows the difference between a courier shipment requiring a standard label and a freight shipment requiring a consignment note (CMR). The appropriate document is automatically generated with all the required information, ready for printing.
How does collection booking work for our freight shipments?
Once your orders are ready to be dispatched, you can trigger the pick-up request directly from our interface. The information (number of pallets, weight, dimensions, requested date) is transmitted via the API to Geodis to schedule the driver. This eliminates the need for phone calls or connections to the Geodis portal, streamlining the whole process.
We use the Geodis On-Demand service to deliver bulky goods by appointment. Is it compatible?
Yes, our Geodis connector is compatible with specialized services such as Geodis On-Demand. When you use this service, the information required to make an appointment is transmitted to the carrier. The tracking specific to this service, including appointment confirmation and delivery, also goes back into the platform, enabling you to offer this premium delivery experience to your customers without manual complexity.
Can Shippingbo send Geodis notifications by email, SMS or WhatsApp?
Yes, Shippingbo lets you notify your customers automatically on all the channels of their choice.
