Absolutely. The platform is designed so that you can connect your own UPS contract credentials. This ensures that you retain all your negotiated rates and maintain your direct business relationship with UPS. Our role is to provide the technological automation layer.
Does the module handle the generation of customs invoices for our shipments outside the EU?
Yes, that’s one of the major advantages. The system uses your product (value, description, country of origin) and order information to automatically generate the required customs documents (commercial invoice or pro forma) in the format expected by UPS. This considerably reduces processing time and the risk of error.
How does the system handle services such as UPS Express Saver® and UPS Standard®?
You can manage this very flexibly. Either you let the customer choose at checkout, and the system will automatically apply the selected service, or you create shipping rules. For example, a rule could read: “For all orders in France under 2kg, use UPS Standard®. For all orders to Germany, use UPS Express Saver®.” The assignment is 100% automatic.
Does the module support UPS Access Point™ delivery?
Yes. Our integration with the main CMS (Shopify, Prestashop, etc.) enables us to retrieve the unique identifier of the UPS Access Point™ chosen by your customer at the time of ordering. This information is then used to generate a delivery label to the right collection point, without any manual intervention on your part.
Does Shippingbo send UPS notifications by e-mail, SMS or WhatsApp?
